Red Ribbon Week

Posted Date: 10/21/2020

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug-abuse prevention campaign in the nation dating back to 1985. This year’s theme is Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free.  This year's Red Ribbon Week theme will help amplify the campaign's mission to encourage children, families and communities to live healthy, happy and drug-free lives. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery and strength.

Students were encouraged to create their own drug-free message with a poster contest. We will also have Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days:

  • Monday – No School
  • Tuesday – “Give Drugs the Boot” – wear boots/western wear
  • Wednesday – “Wacky Wednesday” – dress mismatched
  • Thursday – “Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free” – dress as your hero
  • Friday – “Team Up Against Drugs” – wear sportswear
